Hey gang, it's been crazy around the station these days, but crazy good. I am happy to announce a new dedication show making its CDR debut on May 10, 2010.

The show is Hart 2 Hart and will air every Monday - Thursday, 10PM - Midnight, ET. The DJ/Show page will be added in the next couple days, from there you will see a link for making your dedication request. Gary Allen, the host, also posts on his site when your dedication will air, so you can hear it. If you would like to get a jump start and get a request in, visit - http://www.garyallendj.com/request.html - click the CDR logo and make your request. Gary's page will be appearing soon on CD in the radio section.

Be sure to tune in and give it a listen. Even if you haven't made a request, it's 2 hours of good music.

Until next time -

J

Spring has brought some additions to ColtsDigital Radio. First, if you haven't done so yet, you need to tune on Friday nights @ midnight (ET, US) and checkout DJ Axefield and his WeekendXperiment. 3 hours of non-stop dance/techno/house music. You can check him out on his website http://djaxefield.com or follow him on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/djaxefield (I can't seem to the linking to work, so just copy and paste it.)

On his first show, he hit the ground running blending tracks forom the 80's with beats from today. His second didn't fail to entertain. Trust me, ColtsDigital Radio is THE place to tune in to. We are providing 7 hours of non-stop party music, begining with djKCONN followed by DJ Axefield.

Missed either of those two shows? No problem. Aside from their podcasts available on their sites via the Radio section of ColtsDigital, we replay their shows. DJ Axefield is replayed on Tuesday afternoons @ 3PM (ET, US) and djKCONN on Wednesday's @ noon (ET, US.)

Next order of business, is a new mid-day format gracing the internet waves on ColtsDigital Radio, Eat 2 The Beat Remix Cafe. We are through with planning and it's time to get this show off the ground. Starting April 15, 2010 (yes, that's also the filing deadline for your taxes) Eat 2 The Beat Remix Cafe will open it's doors to the general public. Each day will carry a special consisting of mixes to get you through the day. Stop by and enjoy a healthy, heaping order of mixes provided by CDR DJ's and others. More information will be released as the launch date approaches.

While I'm at it, (and I know the title didn't reflect this, but hey it's my damn blog) if you haven't checked out The Memory lane Show with Big Bob, live on Saturday mornings 9 - Noon (ET, US) you need to check him out. He rocks it old school (no really, really old school) for three hours. It's a great show to tune in while you're getting your day going, or for our friends over-seas, wrapped up.

Well, I think I've babbled long enough. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

So as we move forward with ColtsDigital Radio, I figured I would hit up the Blogs again. This is the start of my weekly (at the least) entry on station news, thoughts, gripes, etc.

If you have done so in awhile, I'd like to invite you all to take a listen to some of the programming we have on CDR. Something that, as station manager, I have tried to do is create a music spot that has a little something for everyone. Thus, when it comes to our show, you will hear they all vary in genres. Wether it's classic oldies like Memory Lane, or make your ears bleed handbanging jams like Iridium, we try to give something for everyone.

If you haven't checked the newest show schedules, they are available in the forum section of ColtsDigital - Click Here For Schedule

I'd also like to extend an open invitation to anyone interested in hosting their own show. This can be accomplished in a few different ways. You could broadcast live, you can record a show at your leisure and submit it for playback, or you can just record some generic voice spots (not time specific) and we can insert them in to a playlist in a genre of your choice. You can opt for a daily show or a weekly show. It can be a music show or a talk show.

What we supply is: a legal a fun way to get some air time, a remote server for you to stream a live through, a relaxed fun atmosphere. It's really as simple as that. If you have the interest, shoot me an email sometime: Freative@coltsdigital.com or by clicking the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page.

So, check us out, take us for a spin. Also watch for a few polls to coming your way in the future, too.

Exciting news! We have added phone lines to bring more interaction with our listeners. The lines are available 24 hours a day, but will only answered during the shows. Outside show times, you can leave a voice message. What does this mean? Well, it means you can call anytime and leave a message, comment or make an ID for us to use on the air. It's as simple as saying something like "This is Joe Smith and I listen to Colts Digital Radio while at work."

So what is the number? 1-888-429-2760 Write that down. Cool

The staff at Colts Digital and Colts Digital Radio would like to once again thank everyone for their support and making this community what it is. A great place.

I've bitten my tongue (tied my fingers together) for the past few days after losing and reading a lot of the crap being posted elsewhere. Now sure, I love my team and may sound a little one-sided at times, but why are so many ready to let the waivers/releases/trades fly? I've read everything from the insane have to be joking to the "these people seem serious."

The latest comes with the Trade Addai For A DT? Now, I'm not just talking about posts found the other forum, but elsewhere, too. Big name players up on the trading block. Some argue the money side of it and others performance. So, based on performance, Addai should go before Dom? Really? I know people are frustrated, but give me a break. I really don't know where I am going with this, honestly. I think this more a chance for me to vent some frustrations I have built up over the past week.

Do fans loyalties to a team or player still exist. From the team side of it, it does, quite obvious. Loyalty to players on the other hand, not so much. Everyone also seems think themsleves a head coach and having the qualifications of one. Sure, people can follow stats, etc, but how many of us are truely qualified for that (or any coaching position) with an NFL team? I know people have opinions, hell I have opinions. I usually take peoples opinions with a grain of salt (actually sugar is better) and accept it for what it is. Lately though, I seem to be shaking my head more and more with the way I see this civilization going. The narcissistic attitude of so many people on some of these boards make me want to slam their heads in to a brick wall in hopes it clears some space for common sense and decency. But, I digress...

All this non-sense about trades for key players is crap, IMO. Sure, sometime you have to have the right bait to attract the big fish, but when we look to our running game, people are ready to hang our starting RB on the hook and dangle? What do we have beyond him at that position? A back that left for Oakland only to pack his bags after one season because he wasn't needed and came back "home" to back-up our starting RB. Next, we have Mike Hart. Sure, this kid some pretty good stuff during the pre-season, but so did the rest of our non-starters. Big difference to ass stomping we took this past week. He has no pro experience and behind him is yet another "oh this kid is the bomb and should be a starter ahead of everyone" in Forsett. Sure, alot of those people saying that are homers just like the KK followers, but how the f*%k do these people funstion in everyday life? Sure, I supported KK for a bit at the start of last season, I won't deny that. But not once did the phrase "KK needs to be our starter" come flowing out my mouth.

Do we need a "bull" on the d-line? Yes. Is trading our starting TB the best way to go about getting him? No. If people are willing to throw our starting RB out on a hook for a player, why not keep him and throw some of the other trash we have out on a line for a player. Maybe even two or three players for one solid d-lineman. Silly? Maybe, but no more silly than the other garbage I've been reading this week. Hell, even if they were to dangle Addai on the hook, do people really think we get the equivalency of his production in a d-lineman? Doubtful. Our defensive line will continue to suffer until someone pulls their head out their ass on draft day and grabs a beast in the making. I have really appreciated their focus on the offense, it's fun watching them when they are running on all cylinders. It's that situation which has given us the affordability to have a so-so defense. But as people are finally starting to see, our D doesn't hold up so well when they are called upon for the bulk of the workload.

Sure, two years they did a great...at the END of the season, but they just don't seem to have the stamina needed for a full season. Or the beef in the middle. I could hit on tht elinebackers, too. But I'll save that for another time. Maybe it's not so much all the d-lines fault...let's watch those linebackers. Tell me you don't see a major improvement that could be made there, but that falls back to the draft day head up the ass situation.

Just my thoughts and rambling, really. Probably doesn't even seem to make much sense or go anywhere. Honetstly, I've never written a blog entry before. So maybe this will be a learning process, just like what our defense is going through this year.
