Bob Sander's Health Speculation
Well, it didn't take Sander's Agent, Tom Condon, or the Colts Org long to react to NFL.COM Senior Analyst Michael Lombardi's report that "...There is
some concern Colts safety Bob Sanders might never be able to play football again, with his shoulder and bicep issues. He reduced his contract, but his
rehab has been slow." This was voiced on NFLN and posted here
near the bottom of the article.
Condon issued a rebutal that was printed in the Indy
Star and reported on NFL.COM.
Not sure if Lombardi is trying to stir up hype for readers or maybe he's heard a little birdie. I guess we'll find out soon. At the very least, it
was good to see Bob in OTA's.

Good Lord. This is getting old to say the least . I agree w.the other thread a healthy Bob>>> Melvin. But Melvin is solid from what my fairly low
football iq can tell.
I also can't help but think that Lombardi wouldn't have went forward with this if he hadn't heard something solid somewhere. If he's right, he
scooped Schefter. I also hadn't heard that he reduced his contract...sheesh, time to start catching back up.

This just makes me sad. Bob has so much talent and is such a beast for us, but I figured injures would be his downfall. I love the guy and he takes
us to another level defensively, but I just doubt Bob will ever be healthy and his career will probably be done soon.

After this "rumor" or "story" was de-bunked by Sander's agent, Bob was quoted as saying “I’ve been able to rehab myself back to pretty decent
health where I can actually practice full-time,” Sanders said. “The knee has been doing great. The arm has been doing great. I feel
great.”
I hope he is correct. Like (or unlike depending on where you are posting) a lot people, I love me a healthy Bob Sanders.

FWIW,

Bob Sanders plays in 13 games, plus the playoffs: Despite his recent, lengthy injury history, strong safety Bob Sanders is back. Fans and people
around the league are setting over-unders for how many games he’ll actually play in. I hate to predict bad health, even for those who always seem to
find it. The guy’s playing style simply leads to troubles. But it’s a far better league with him on the highlight reels and he takes the Colts'
defense to a new level.
